Application of Sieyuan Electric 550 kV Disconnectors in a Brazilian Photovoltaic Project

In May 2024, Sieyuan Electric secured an order for 550 kV disconnectors for a large-scale photovoltaic power station in Brazil. Based on the GW23B-550W/4000-50 disconnector platform, the solution was customized for Brazil’s 60 Hz power system and tropical, heavily polluted operating environment. The project required customized solutions for insulation performance, mechanical structure, safety interlocking, secondary circuits, and maintenance. Sieyuan integrated these requirements into the disconnector configuration to support reliable operation and convenient maintenance.

For the Shokparskaya 100 MW Wind Farm 220 kV AIS Project in Kazakhstan, Sieyuan Electric developed a customized solution for extreme cold and heavy icing conditions. The solution incorporates reinforced insulation components, enhanced external insulation, and a low-temperature operating mechanism to maintain reliable equipment performance. The complete solution passed environmental testing at -50°C, providing additional performance margin beyond the -45°C operating requirement. The solution also addressed and verified all 15 customer technical requirements, supporting reliable grid connection for the wind farm.

230kV DTCB Deployment for a Large-Scale U.S. Data Center

In March 2025, Sieyuan Electric secured an order for a 230kV DTCB switchyard project serving a large-scale data center campus in the United States. The project includes 6 sets of LW58A-252 dead-tank circuit breakers and associated disconnectors. To meet stringent North American IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards—including environmental requirements for a wide temperature range of -20°F to 120°F and hurricane-level winds of 120 MPH—Sieyuan completed multiple deep customizations. These encompass NEMA 3R-rated control cabinets, UL-certified cables, and ASME pressure vessel-standard tanks. Sieyuan Electric will oversee the entire process from product design and procurement to on-site installation, testing, and commissioning supervision, ensuring compliance with U.S. grid delivery standards and the high-reliability power infrastructure demands of mission-critical data center operations.
